Questions & Answers

Before You Order

The questions brides ask most — turnaround, color matching, sizing, shipping, and care. Anything else, just write to us.

How long does a made-to-order piece take?

About two weeks. Nothing here sits on a shelf — your piece is cut after you order, in your shade, then gathered, strung, finished, and checked against your order's color reference in natural light before it ships.

Planning a tight timeline? Mention your wedding date in the consultation form and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Can you match my exact wedding colors?

Yes — custom color matching is free. Send a photo of your dresses (natural light photographs work best) and the satin is matched to it, because "dusty rose" has to mean the same thing in your hands as it did on your screen.

What are the six signature shades?

Ivory, Blush, Dusty Rose, Lavender, Dusty Blue, and Sage. As a rule of thumb: golden-hour outdoor weddings flatter the warm shades, while bright coastal light and greenery-heavy venues flatter the cool ones.

Stuck between two? Our shade guide walks through how each hue behaves in real light.

How does a custom order work?

Start with the consultation form — share your colors, your bridal party, and the pieces you have in mind. You'll receive a personalized quote, and once you confirm, making begins: about two weeks, then your pieces ship to you.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — every piece ships worldwide from the atelier in Gainesville, Virginia.

Are you local to Northern Virginia?

Yes — the atelier is based in Gainesville, VA, and every order ships from there regardless of where you're located. If you're local and have a question about visiting or picking up in person, mention it in the consultation form and we'll let you know what's possible.

Can I order coordinated pieces for my whole bridal party?

Yes — that's the atelier's specialty. Each pouch can be matched to its wearer's dress or alternated through your palette, in exactly the quantities your party calls for, with flower girl and ring bearer pieces made to coordinate.

How do I size a flower girl crown without a fitting?

Ask her parent to measure head circumference with a soft tape just above the ears. Crowns close with adjustable ribbon ties — they fit on the day, don't pinch, and photograph beautifully trailing down the back. Most girls between three and eight fall comfortably within one adjustable range.

How should I care for satin pieces?

Satin shows every crease, so store your piece lightly stuffed to hold its shape, keep it dry, and keep it out of prolonged direct sun. Handle marks gently — and if you're ever unsure, write to us before attempting to clean anything.

Can I still buy ready-made pieces on Etsy?

Yes — ready-made colors are available in our Etsy shop. For custom color matching, bridal party sets, and bespoke commissions, the consultation form is the best place to start.
